Somali PM appoints committee to end clan clashes in Hiran region
The Prime Minister of Somalia Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed Mohamed named a delegation of ministers to be sent to Deefow locality in Hiran to stop the inter-clans fight in the region.
11 people were killed, 13 others were injured and hundreds of families fled from their houses after the tribal clashes embarked in Defow locality once more.
Somali PM took emergency meeting on conflict resolution with national security committee of the cabinet and unanimously agreed to bring the warring clans to the negotiating table.
PM Abdiweli expressed concern over the clan clashes in Defow and called the sides to immediately cease fire and solve their difference peacefully.
He also called on the aid agencies to deliver emergency support to the people affected by the clan fighting in the region.
