GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: Prime Minister Hamze Barre has directed his cabinet to mobilise resources and actively support the ongoing war against Al-Shabaab which President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is leading in central parts of the country.

The PM urged the ministers and all government departments to support the war efforts noting the ongoing campaign would free the country from the yoke of terrorism.

“I applaud the brave national forces who are waging Jihad against the Khawarij in our country. They are making a new history of freedom from the terrorists who are colonizing our people,” the PM said.

Somali National Army Chief of Staff General Ibrahim Sheikh Muhyadin also briefed the cabinet on the ongoing war efforts.

The SNA alongside allied clan militia mounted a large-scale offensive in several areas of Galgadud and Mudug regions in Galmudug state, central Somalia on Tuesday. President Mohamud is leading the campaign in his command centre in Dhusamareb, the capital of Galmudug state.
