Somali Police Chief reaches Baidoa

The chief of Somali police Gen Mohamed Sheikh Hassan Hamud who reached Baidoa, administrative capital of Southwest state, has visited training school for the Somali Police Force in the town.
The facility which serves as a base for police training in the region, as part of the on-going capacity building for the SPF was constructed with support from the United Nations Assistance Mission in Somalia (UNSOM).
On arrival, Somali police commander-in-chief received a warm welcome by city’s police officers and some of Southwest state officials.
“The police chief has arrived in Baidoa to visit the police officers based in the town and to discuss with them on the issue affecting the police ” said Ma’lin Qalafow.
Gen Mohamed Sheikh Hassan has urged police in Baidoa to boost up the security of the town and prevent possible Al-Shabaab attacks.
