GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Somalia’s Police Force Commander, Brigadier General Asad Osman Abdullahi, has called on the Somali people to collaborate closely with security forces to ensure a safe and stable nation.

Speaking at a high-level security meeting in Mogadishu on Friday, alongside Deputy Police Commander Brigadier General Osman Abdullahi Mohamed, Brigadier General Abdullahi emphasized the importance of vigilance and community cooperation in countering potential threats from the Al-Shabaab militant group.

“The security of our capital and the nation as a whole is a shared responsibility. We call on the public to work hand in hand with the security forces to prevent the evil plans of Al-Shabaab and to ensure a peaceful Ramadan for all,” he stated.

The meeting gathered senior police officials to strategize and reinforce security operations aimed at maintaining peace and stability in Mogadishu and across the country.

Discussions focused on strengthening intelligence gathering, enhancing patrols, and improving rapid response capabilities, particularly during Ramadan—a time when communities come together for prayers and social activities, making heightened security vigilance crucial.

Brigadier General Abdullahi also commended security forces for their dedication and tireless efforts in safeguarding citizens and thwarting potential threats.

He reaffirmed the Somali Police Force’s commitment to maintaining public safety as the country continues its path toward recovery and development.
