Somali police force celebrates its 75th anniversary
Somali federal police force is today celebrating its 75th Anniversary since its inception in 20th December 1943.
The forces have been busy for the last days practising parade to mark the colourful ceremony set for 20th December 2018.
Somali police band Heegan is also expected to entertain the guest with patriotic songs during the event.
Somali Police Force which was once one of the well organized and strongest in the African continent before the breakout of the civil war in the 1990s was established in 1943 by the colonial master Italy and it served as one of the principal organs of the Somali Armed Forces.
Somali National police force and main civil law enforcement agency of Somalia has not been operating years between the fall of Somali central government and the establishment of Somali Transitional government.
Somali’s capital Mogadishu which uses to be regarded as the most dangerous place on earth when the Somali government imploded in 1991 is now safe and secure apart few incidents which rarely occur.
