Somali police force issues international arrest warrant on Janan

The Government of Somalia has issued an Interpol request for an international warrant to the arrest of fugitive regional Minister Abdirashid Janan who escaped from detention a week ago. Somalia asked Kenya to arrest the former Jubaland security minister.

The statement released by the police stated “former Jubaland security minister who is wanted for several serious crimes including international human right violation, extrajudicial killings and massacre of innocent civilians and Illegal government custody”.

Few hours ago, Before Somali police released the statement; former Jubbaland Security Minister Abdi Rashid Hassan Nur Janan arrived in Beled-Hawo district on Tuesday.
