Somali Premier set to announce cabinet today

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: The Somali Prime Minister, Hamza Abdi Barre, is set to pick members of his cabinet anytime today after more than a month of consultations on the formation of the government.

The Somali Prime Minister has been faced with a difficult time in trying to come up with a one-size-fits-all  cabinet, with bickering and jostling for cabinet positions making delaying the appointments.

Sources have intimated that among the appointees to the cabinet include former Al-Shabaab deputy leader, Muktar Roobow. Others include politicians from President Hassan Sheikh’s former administration as well as new faces.
