Somali President arrives in Nairobi ahead of the swearing-in of the country’s fifth president

GOOBJOOG NEWS|NAIROBI: The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, and a delegation led by him arrived last night in Nairobi for the swearing-in ceremony of Kenya’s 5th President, William Ruto, set for today.

The Somali President, who is one of the 20 world leaders expected to grace today’s event, was warmly received at the Jomo Kenyatta Airport by the Hon. Adan Duale, MP for Garissa Township.

The Somali Minister of Information, Daoud Aweys Jama, said the President’s itinerary includes holding talks later with Kenya’s newly inaugurated president, where they will discuss pertinent issues affecting the two countries, such as the issue of miraa trade.
