Somali president visits Baladweyne to break Month-long stalemate

Somali president Hassan Sheikg with a large delegation has on Friday paid  visit to Beledweyne town in a bid to convince Hiraan elders who deserted the state formation conference in Jowhar a month ago.

Ministers for Sports and Petroleum and several federal MP were among the delegation led by president Hassan.

Yusuf and officials of Somali National Army and the African Union Peacekeeping Troops specially Djiboutian contingent welcomed the president and his delegation at Ugas Khalif Airport.

President Hassan will have talks with traditional elders and politicians on the state building of Hiiraan and Middle Shabelle regions as he will also listen to their complaints over the issue.
