Somali refugees in Kakuma refugees face Humanitarian Crisis
Somali refugees living in refugee camps in Kenya especially Kakuma which resides refugees from different countries such Ethiopia and Sudan, are lacking subsistence such as Food, Water, Sanitation, and Housing.
Mohamed Mohamud Farah, former overall chairman of Kakuma refugee camp who gave interview to Goobjoog News has stated that Somalis in living blocks of Kakuma camp are facing desperate situation which made their life to become hard.
“They are not provided with what they are suppose to get as refugees, they don’t get food, clean water and health facilities which are essential for life” he said.
He added that they need for help from their brotherly Somalis, UN aid agencies and Somali government.
“I call upon Somalis, UN organization to stretch helping to these refugees” he alerted.
Mr. Farah pointed finger of blame to Somali government for drugging its feet on the situation of the refugees suffering countries and for not coming with clear plan to help Somalis in Kenya and Yemen.
It was 11th April, when Kenya’s Deputy President William Ruto delivered an ultimatum to the United Nations Refugee Agency to move nearly half a million Somali refugees out of a huge Kenyan refugee camp in three months or Kenya leaders will relocate them ourselves after the horrific Garissa University attacks, which took the lives of 148 people,
