Somali Students Stand Out at Cultural Expo in China
GOOBJOOG NEWS | CHANGSHA, China: Somali students were among the standout performers at a major cultural exhibition hosted in Changsha, the capital of China’s Hunan Province.
The event, organised by Central South University (CSU), drew students from more than 40 countries, alongside university officials and invited guests.
Somali participants staged a lively traditional dance and presented a wide selection of Somali dishes, attracting strong interest from attendees. Dressed in traditional attire and carrying the Somali flag, the group delivered one of the exhibition’s most eye-catching showcases, earning high marks in the event’s evaluations.
Ahmed Abdirahman Ibrahim, chairman of the Somali Students’ Association in Changsha, said the group had prepared extensively to ensure a strong performance. He commended the Somali female students for playing a leading role in the presentation.
University representatives and international students praised the Somali delegation’s display, calling it one of the highlights of the exhibition.
