Somali, Turkish Commanders Review Security and Health Projects in Lower Shabelle

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Senior Somali and Turkish military commanders visited Lower Shabelle region Tuesday to review security operations and inspect a new hospital project.
Brigadier General Sahal Abdullahi Omar, commander of the Somali National Army’s land forces, and General Sebahattin Kalkan, who leads Turkish troops based at TURKSOM in Mogadishu, met Somali officers in the Number 50 area to discuss ongoing operations against militants.
The commanders also toured the construction site of a hospital in the area, describing it as a vital investment to strengthen healthcare for local communities long affected by conflict.
