Somali workers mark anniversary of the International Labour Day In Mogadishu
Well-organized ceremony to mark International Labour Day was held in Mogadishu as to celebrate the achievements of Somali workers.
The ceremony organized by Federation of Somali Trade Unions (FESTU) was attended ministers, MPs, some members of trade union leaders and civil society.
Speaking at the ceremony, Somali Minister for labour, Abdiweli Sheikh Mudey has wished all Somali workers “a happy Labour Day”
My ministry will deal with the foreigners who filled up the jobs needed by Somali people who have the capability to do the job”
“We are trying to enforce a law limiting the number of foreign workers who fill jobs which our people can fit and have suitable skills for it” he said.
He added that the ministry will fight against corruption and nepotism.
