Somalia, Algeria Agree To Boost Trade Ties At African Fair

GOOBJOOG NEWS | ALGIERS: Somalia and Algeria have agreed to strengthen trade and investment links following talks between Somali Commerce and Industry Minister Mahmud Ahmed Aden and Algerian Trade Minister Tayyib Zitoni on the sidelines of the 4th African Trade Fair in Algiers.

The discussions focused on expanding cooperation in key sectors, sharing expertise and promoting commercial exchange between the two countries. Officials said the talks underscored a shared commitment to building a stronger framework for economic partnership.

Aden was accompanied by Somalia’s Ambassador to Algeria, Yusuf Ahmed Hassan, during the meeting, which Somali officials described as a step toward creating new opportunities for bilateral trade and investment.

Both sides expressed optimism about future collaboration, with Somalia and Algeria expected to explore joint projects aimed at boosting economic growth and strengthening ties between the two nations.
