Somalia, Arab League Vow Stronger Partnership to Drive Stability and Development

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre and Arab League Ambassador Abdalla Al-Utaybi agreed on Sunday to expand political, security and economic cooperation, a move officials say will deepen Somalia’s integration with Arab states and accelerate development projects.

Barre said the League’s backing was crucial for Somalia’s stability and economic recovery, while Al-Utaybi stressed Mogadishu’s role as a key partner in regional cooperation. He added that an Arab League delegation would soon visit Somalia to roll out new development initiatives.

The meeting signals stronger collective action between Somalia and the Arab League, reinforcing both sides’ efforts to promote security and growth across the region.
