GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Somalia’s Office of the Auditor General has unveiled a new framework to improve the monitoring and enforcement of audit recommendations across federal institutions, in a push to strengthen transparency and accountability in public finance.

The initiative, grounded in Articles 5(8) and 9(4) of the Auditor General’s Act (Law No. 14 of 2023), aims to streamline how government entities implement recommendations issued by the Auditor General, federal leaders, and Parliament.

The framework sets out a standardized method for tracking progress, ensuring Parliament, the public, and other stakeholders receive timely and accurate updates on implementation efforts.

Officials say the move is a key step toward improving fiscal oversight, promoting good governance, and reinforcing trust in government operations.
