Somalia, Care International Agree to Align Aid Projects with National Plan

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Somalia and Care International have agreed to accelerate development and humanitarian projects and align them with the government’s National Transformation Plan.

Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre met Apollo Gabzira, Care International’s Regional Director for Eastern and Central Africa, in Mogadishu, where the two sides discussed scaling up support in health, education, reconstruction and stabilization.

Barre said the partnership would ensure aid programs directly advance Somalia’s national priorities, while Gabzira pledged to expand Care International’s projects to better meet community needs and strengthen state institutions.
