Somalia Commits to Enhance Collaboration with OIC
GOOBJOOG NEWS | JEDDA: The federal government of Somalia has committed to strengthen collaboration with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
During a meeting on the sideline of the OIC forum in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia between Somali Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ahmed Moallim Fiqi and the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hissein Brahim Taha the minister also disused the political, economic, humanitarian, and security developments in Somalia.
Secretary-General Taha commended the Somali government’s dedicated efforts towards achieving development, stability, and counterterrorism and reaffirmed the OIC’s steadfast support for Somalia’s strategic goals and objectives.
The Foreign Ministers reaffirmed the principle of respect for national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence of all Member States, in accordance with the principles of the Charters of the United Nations and the OIC.
They also strongly condemned the political assassinations targeting Palestinian leaders.
