Somalia Condemns Iran’s Attack on Qatar, Citing Threat to Regional Stability

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The federal republic of Somalia on Monday strongly condemned a military strike by Iran against Qatar, warning that the move violates international law and endangers regional peace.

In an official statement, the Somali government expressed “full solidarity” with Doha, calling the attack a “blatant breach” of Qatar’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“The Federal Republic of Somalia expresses its unwavering support for the Government and people of the brotherly State of Qatar,” the statement read, adding that Mogadishu is committed to a rules-based international order grounded in respect for national borders and dialogue-driven conflict resolution.

Somalia urged restraint from all parties involved and called on the international community to rally in defense of regional stability and the principle of state sovereignty.
