Somalia Condemns Zamfara Attacks, Backs Nigeria’s Counter-Terror Efforts

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia has condemned terrorist attacks in Zamfara State in northwestern Nigeria that killed more than 50 civilians and saw the abduction of women and children.

In a statement, the Somali government expressed solidarity with the government and people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, offering condolences to the families of those killed and wishing a swift recovery to the injured.

Mogadishu called for the immediate and unconditional release of all abducted civilians and voiced support for Nigeria’s efforts to bring those responsible to justice.

The ministry said African nations must remain united in confronting terrorism and prioritizing the protection of civilians, warning that coordinated action is essential to address growing security threats across the continent.
