Somalia confirms 95 new COVID-19 cases, 5 death

Somalia records 95 new COVID-19 cases making the total confirmed cases to 1689 as the total number of laboratory tests remains known.

According to the ministry of health report, Somaliland regions recorded 72, the highest number of cases and 5 death.

Besides government effort, humanitarians’ aid agencies also contribute and provide protective material including mask, soap and medical assistant to the public though the effort scale, not enough to combat COVID 19 in accordance to public safety.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) report, COVID-19 affected 213 countries and territories around the world leading to travel restriction, economic crisis and scarcity of food production.
