GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Somalia’s Second Deputy Speaker of the Upper House, Abdullahi Hirsi Timacadde, has led a series of consultative meetings with traditional leaders and intellectuals from the SSC-Khaatumo regions, as part of efforts to advance peace, federal integration, and national unity.

Accompanied by Interior Minister Ali Yusuf Ali-Hoosh and other federal officials, Timacadde engaged in in-depth discussions aimed at finalizing the formation of the SSC-Khaatumo administration, addressing regional grievances, and strengthening ties between local communities and the central government.

“These talks are a step toward inclusive governance and reconciliation,” Timacadde said, emphasizing the federal government’s commitment to listening to community voices and ensuring equitable representation.

The sessions also addressed community cohesion, regional stability, and pathways to deeper participation in Somalia’s federal system, particularly in areas historically affected by political fragmentation and insecurity.

The engagement reflects Mogadishu’s broader push to promote dialogue with federal member regions and disputed areas, amid ongoing efforts to build a more unified and stable Somali state.
