Somalia, Djibouti Presidents Pledge to Foster Regional Stability

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Somalia and Djibouti have stated that they are committed to continue efforts to ensure peace and stability is maintained at the Horn of Africa region.

The discussion was held when the federal republic of Somalia president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud met with Djibouti’s Ismail Omar Guelleh Wednesday to discuss ways if enhancing cooperation across various fields including security and the economy.

The discussion also focused on reinforcing joint efforts to promote peace and stability in the region where the two leaders agreed to intensify collaboration in addressing regional challenges and ensure sustained progress.

President Mohamud commended President Guelleh for his role in fostering peace and stability in the Horn of Africa and highlighted Djibouti’s contributions to regional stability.

He also expressed his commitment to working closely with President Guelleh to achieve common goals.

The discussions underscore the ongoing commitment of both nations to enhance their partnership and work collaboratively for the betterment of the region.

The leaders’ agreement to strengthen their joint efforts marks a significant step towards a more secure and prosperous Horn of Africa.
