Storyline:National News

GOOBJOOG NEWS | JOWHAR: A high-level delegation from Somalia’s National Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (NIEBC) has arrived in Jowhar, the capital of Hirshabelle State, to ramp up preparations for regional voter registration.

The team, which includes commission officials, technical trainers, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) specialists, will oversee staff training and logistical planning for registration centers across the state.

Officials say the visit represents a critical step in building electoral infrastructure and ensuring the smooth implementation of voter registration ahead of Somalia’s broader push for universal suffrage.

The deployment underscores ongoing national efforts to institutionalize democratic processes and support inclusive political participation in federal member states.
