Somalia Justice Conference Enters Second Day with Focus on Inclusivity
GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The second annual Somalia Justice Conference continued on Sunday in Mogadishu, with delegates focusing on this year’s theme: “Inclusive Justice for All.”
The forum has drawn senior officials, including Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre, along with federal and state-level justice institutions, international partners, legal scholars and invited guests.
Discussions are centred on strengthening the independence of the judiciary, improving accountability mechanisms and restoring public confidence in Somalia’s justice system.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is expected to close the conference later today as participants review proposals aimed at making judicial services more efficient, transparent and accessible.
Experts say the recommendations being tabled this year are intended to help build a justice system that is fair, responsive and capable of serving all Somalis.
