Somalia: KDF kill 60 Al-shabab, Spokesman David

KDF says it killed 60 Al Shabaab militants Friday in ongoing operation in Bula Gaduud area, Somalia and recovered 5 vehicles At least 60 members of Somalia’s Al-Shabaab militants were Friday killed in an operation by the Kenya Defence Forces in Bula Gaduud area, Somalia.

KDF said they recovered several bullets and guns and five four-wheel-drive vehicles from the slain men.

Spokesman Col David Obonyo said the operation which included ground and air strikes was the third this week in a row in efforts to liberate the area.

“The militants were regrouping to approach our strongholds when they were crashed. We counted 60 bodies and recovered five vehicles with many bullets,” said Col Obonyo.
