GOOBJOOG NEWS | CAPE TOWN: Federal government of Somalia’s Petroleum and Mining minister Dahir Shire Mohamed, met with counterparts from Kenya and Tanzania at the Minerals Investment Conference to strengthen regional cooperation in the mining sector.

The ministers agreed to a trilateral framework aimed at promoting investment, enhancing the value of domestic mineral production, and ensuring sustainable management of natural resources across the three countries.

Officials said the partnership is expected to create new economic opportunities, generate jobs, and support long-term development in East Africa while fostering fair and responsible utilization of the continent’s mineral wealth.
