Somalia Launches Plan to Address Sustainably Address Human Displacement
GOOBJOOG NEWS/MOGADISHU: Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre today officially launched a plan to settle displaced people and find sustainable solutions to the challenge of human displacements in the country.
The National Solutions Pathways Action Plan aims to provide durable solutions for the displaced, empowering communities, and driving sustainable development.
This plan is part of the government’s efforts to solve the problems of displacement and building communities in emergency situations.
This plan will provide a detailed plan to support IDPs, with the aim of helping them find a controlled and safe environment.
It also includes support for economic, educational, health, and social services, to ensure that IDPs have a quality of life and development.
Close to 3 million Somalis are internally displaced as a result of climatic conditions and conflicts.
