Somalia: Military court executes two men for killing journalist

Somali military court has on Sunday morning executed two men who were accused of killing journalist Mohamed Mohamud Timacade, a reporter with London-based Somali-language Universal TV, in Mogadishu.
The execution by firing squad of Ali Bashir Osman aged 22 years and Abdullahi Sharif Osman aged 25 years took place in general Kahiye police academy in the capital.
Present during the execution were senior officers of Somali military court and other government officials.
Timacade was shot several times in the neck, chest and shoulder when the attackers sprayed his car with bullets in October 2013. The gunmen also killed a security guard.
