Somalia: Ministry of internal security displays suspected Al-shabab members and weapons
The Ministry of internal security has on Thursday displayed unspecified number of men suspected of Al-shabab members, weapons and two vehicles after massive operations conducted by the security forces in various parts of the capital city.
The spokesman of the ministry Mohamed Yussuf Osman briefing the media outlets during the exhibition said the forces managed to arrest the individual behind the recent insecurity threats in the capital the last few days.
He added that the cases of the suspects are under thorough investigations and whoever found guilty will be brought to justice.
Mr. Yusuf sent warnings to individuals who wear military uniform and harm the society in the expense of their personal interest, he said the security agencies are vigilant to put to a stop the planned attacks.
Over five people including senior government officials were killed in a series of attacks and assassinations while a lawmaker survived murder attempt in Mogadishu.
