Somalia, Norway Discuss Security Cooperation and Bilateral Ties

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Somalia’s National Security Advisor, Aweis Haji Yusuf Ahmed, met with Norway’s Special Representative and Chargé d’Affaires to Somalia to discuss security cooperation and broader bilateral relations.

Officials said the meeting, held in Mogadishu, focused on issues of mutual interest, including ways to strengthen ties between Somalia and Norway.

Somalia’s Deputy National Security Advisor, Mukhtar, and the Director General at the Office of the National Security Advisor, Abdimalik, also attended the talks.

Norway has been a long-standing partner in Somalia, supporting security sector reforms, humanitarian assistance and state-building efforts.
