Somalia Offers Condolences After Ghana Helicopter Crash Kills Ministers

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Somalia has expressed condolences to Ghana after a military helicopter crash in the Ashanti Region killed eight people, including Defence Minister Edward Omane Boamah and Environment Minister Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed.

In a statement, the Somali government said it was “deeply moved by the sorrow Ghana is experiencing” and extended its sympathy to the victims’ families and the Ghanaian people.

“The Federal Government of Somalia and its people stand together with Ghana in sincere mourning,” the statement said, adding that Somalia reaffirms its commitment to solidarity and compassion during the tragedy.
