Somalia, Pakistan Foreign Ministers Meet in Brussels to Deepen Bilateral Ties

GOOBJOOG NEWS | BRUSSELS: Foreign Minister Abdisalam Abdi Ali met on Sunday with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, on the sidelines of the 4th EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum in Brussels, where the two officials discussed ways to deepen their countries’ growing partnership.

The talks centred on strengthening long-standing ties rooted in historic cooperation and shared interests. Both ministers reaffirmed what they described as the strong bonds of brotherhood between Somalia and Pakistan, pledging to expand collaboration across multiple fields.

The two sides agreed to accelerate joint efforts in diplomacy, security, trade, education, health and institutional capacity-building, areas seen as critical to supporting sustainable development in both nations.

The meeting ended with a commitment to maintain regular dialogue and explore new avenues of cooperation aimed at elevating the Somalia–Pakistan relationship to a new level.
