GOOBJOOG NEWS | ISLAMABAD: A senior Somali government delegation led by Interior Minister Ali Yusuf Hosh has arrived in Pakistan for talks aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.

The delegation includes Somalia’s Disaster Management Commissioner, Mahamuud Moallim, and other senior officials. During the visit, they are scheduled to meet Pakistani counterparts to discuss cooperation in disaster management, internal security, and institutional capacity-building.

Officials said the talks will draw on Pakistan’s experience in disaster preparedness and response, security coordination, and public administration, areas Somalia views as critical to strengthening state institutions and improving resilience to shocks.

Pakistan has been a long-standing supporter of Somalia’s peacebuilding and state-building efforts, and the visit signals a push by both sides to deepen practical cooperation, officials said.

The two countries reaffirmed their commitment to long-term collaboration aimed at promoting stability, development, and mutual benefit for their peoples.
