Somalia, Qatar Discuss Stronger Security Cooperation and Bilateral Ties

GOOBJOOG NEWS|QATAR: Somalia and Qatar have held talks on strengthening bilateral relations and boosting cooperation between their security institutions, as fellow members of the Arab League.

Somalia’s Minister of Internal Security, Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail, who is on an official visit to Qatar, met Qatar’s Minister of State for the Interior, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Faisal bin Mohammed Al Thani.

During the meeting, the two officials discussed ways to enhance security collaboration between the two countries and improve joint working mechanisms in relevant areas.

The talks form part of ongoing efforts to deepen the longstanding ties of cooperation and brotherly relations between the State of Qatar and the Federal Republic of Somalia.
