Somalia, Qatar Red Crescent Boost Cooperation on Disaster Response

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) and the Qatar Red Crescent on Monday agreed to deepen cooperation in disaster preparedness, humanitarian relief and staff training to strengthen Somalia’s emergency response.

SoDMA Commissioner Mohamud Macalin Abdulle met in Mogadishu with Ahmed Aden Hameed, head of the Qatar Red Crescent’s Somalia office, who praised the agency’s efforts in tackling humanitarian crises and pledged continued support for relief and development projects.

Abdulle stressed that stronger partnerships were vital to delivering long-term solutions and reducing community vulnerability.

SoDMA said it would continue expanding cooperation with international and local partners to improve resilience and safeguard Somali lives.
