Somalia, Saudi Arabia Agree to Enhance Community Development and Empowerment

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Somalia and Saudi Arabia have agreed to enhance collaboration on key areas of mutual interest aimed at fostering community development and empowerment.

This was discussed during a meeting between the Federal Government of Somalia Minister of Family and Development of Human Rights Major General Bashir Mohamed Jama and the Saudi Ambassador to Somalia Ambassador Mohamed Bin Ahmed in Mogadishu.

The two sides inked a deal that will see the construction of centers dedicated to teaching the Qur’an to Somali children and the establishment of facilities to support underprivileged women by enhancing their skills.

These projects are set to be implemented nationwide, reflecting a strong commitment to social development.

Also, the two sides emphasized the importance of exchanging information and knowledge to improve the expertise of officials and experts within their respective ministries.

This collaboration aims to foster a deeper understanding and more effective implementation of family and human rights policies.

The meeting, held at the Saudi Embassy in Mogadishu, concluded with a mutual agreement to continue these discussions and expedite the implementation of the agreed-upon measures.

This marks a promising step towards stronger bilateral relations and enhanced cooperation between Somalia and Saudi Arabia.
