Somalia Secures Return of 191 Somali Youth From Libya
GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Somalia’s Foreign Affairs Ministry has secured the successful repatriation of 191 Somali youth stranded in Libya under the Voluntary Humanitarian Return (VHR) program.
In collaboration with the EU, IOM, and UNHCR, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation ensured the safe return of these citizens, with 68 arriving in Hargeisa and the rest in Mogadishu.
According to Foreign Affairs minister Ahmed Moalim Fiqi, the initiative is part of the Federal Republic of Somalia’s ongoing efforts to address migration challenges and reintegrate its citizens.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and key government officials reaffirmed the government’s commitment to safeguarding Somali nationals abroad and helping them rebuild their lives at home.
