Somalia: Southwest state fails to support Marka town
The former governor of the Federal Government of Somalia in Marko has accused the Southwest state administration of failing to closely work with his administration in Marko.
Mohamed Osman Yarisow, the current governor of Marko town in the Lower Shabelle region under the Southwest state said, “That the Southwest state government has neglected to support his administration.”
He added, “That during his three years rule in Marko town his administration was lonely fighting against Al-Shabaab and never got any support from the southwest state government,”
“There are no funds and military support from the southwest state, and they have represented me in the town of Marko,” said Yarisow.
Marka is an ancient port city in the southern Lower Shabelle province of Somalia.
