GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The federal government of Somalia has intensified efforts to consolidate stability in areas recently recaptured from Al-Shabaab, with officials agreeing to tighten coordination and unify messaging in support of communities emerging from conflict.

Interior Minister Ali Yusuf Ali-Hosh chaired a meeting of the Technical Committee for Stabilization Affairs in Mogadishu, where ministries reviewed achievements, outlined challenges, and discussed strategies for future funding.

Officials said the government will ramp up public communication campaigns to promote recovery, encourage local trust, and reinforce authority in newly liberated towns. The committee also pledged closer coordination across ministries to speed up delivery of basic services and strengthen resilience against militant threats.

Established in early 2024, the committee has played a central role in shaping Somalia’s stabilization strategy, with residents in several retaken areas already reporting greater confidence in government presence and improved conditions.
