GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Somalia and Russia have inked a deal aimed at enhancing cooperation in various sectors including  health, security, agriculture, and sustainable development.

The agreement was signed during a meeting between a Somali delegation led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Isak Mohamud Mursal and Russians officials during the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum in Sochi.

The high-level forum provided a unique platform to deepen Somalia’s partnerships, aligning with the nation’s vision for sustainable growth, regional stability, and collective progress.

The conference builds upon last summer’s Russia-Africa summit, where President Vladimir Putin wooed African leaders with promises of expanded political and business collaborations.

Somalia’s participation underscores its commitment to forging resilient alliances that foster shared prosperity and security across Africa.
