Somalia top leaders meets representative of Khatumo state in Mogadishu
A committee representing the administration of Khatumo state in Northern Somalia took special meeting with the top leaders of Somalia in villa Somalia on Monday.
The former president of Khatumo state, Mohamed Yussuf Indhasheel who was leading the committee told Goobjoog FM that they met with president Hassan, PM Abdiweli and the speaker of the federal parliament.
Indhasheel reiterated that the meeting focused on the achievements of Khatumo state since it was established, federalism and the tensions between the breakaway state of Somaliland and Khatumo state adding that the leaders praised Khatumo administration for its hard work and encouraged to double the tireless efforts.
He said that the federal government of Somalia has promised to work closely with Khatumo administration so as to full the needs of the people in the region.
In a hotly contested presidential elections in Sahdheer locality, former prime minister of transitional federal government Ali Khalif Galeyr was elected as the second president of Khatumo state.
On the other hand Somaliland forces has taken over Taleh district and Sahdheer locality, the last seat of Khatumo state which forced Khatumo administration to be mobile.
