Somalia, Ukraine to Boost Diplomatic Relations, Enhance Cooperation
GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The Federal government of Somalia and Ukraine have entered an agreement aimed at boosting diplomatic relations and enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
The deal was discussed Tuesday when Somalia’s Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation minister Ambassador Ahmed Moallin Fiqi held a constructive phone conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart Andrii Sybiha.
Both ministers reaffirmed their commitment to fostering a robust partnership, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts to address shared challenges and opportunities.
Ambassador Fiqi highlighted Somalia’s desire to build on the historical friendship between the two nations, exploring avenues for increased economic, political, and cultural cooperation.
He further expressed optimism about the potential for joint initiatives that could benefit both countries, particularly in areas such as trade, investment, and development.
Minister Sybiha on his part said Ukraine is ready to work closely with Somalia in pursuing common goals and praised the ongoing efforts to deepen diplomatic relations and expressed hope for a fruitful and enduring partnership.
