Somalia’s Ambassador to Kenya Unveils International Cultural Festival in Nairobi
GOOBJOOG NEWS | NAIROBI: Federal government of Somalia’s Ambassador to Kenya Jibril Ibrahim Abdulle Saturday unveiled the International cultural festival in Nairobi Kenya, showcasing diverse cultures.
The exhibition which will be hosted as part of commemorating Somalia’s Independence Day by the Somali Embassy, in partnership with the National Museum of Kenya from June 25th to July 26th will showcase of Somali culture and arts.
Participants of the event will exhibit various cultural masterpieces such cultural artifacts, beautiful drawings, artwork, and the overall historical journey of Somalia.
“From its rich history to its profound heritage and its cuisine, Somalia people have so much to share with the world. It’s crucial to showcase our cultural wealth and promote unity through diversity,” the ambassador said.
He added that the festival will also offer the Somali people a chance to learn from other cultures and appreciate the diversity of the global community hence foster mutual understanding and respect among all people.
The Ambassador called on the resident living in Nairobi, Kenya and other Diplomats to come and witness the Somali culture as it gets unveiled in the National Museum of Kenya.
“I urge Nairobi residents and diplomats to visit this upcoming exhibition. It will provide a glimpse into the heart of Somali culture, from our traditional arts and crafts to the stories that have shaped our nation,” Ambassador Abdulle said.
