Somalia’s Legal Recognition Process Tops Agenda in Nairobi Conference
GOOBJOOG NEWS | NAIROBI: A high level Somali government delegation participated in a conference in Nairobi, Kenya which was convened to evaluate the implementation of Somalia’s legal recognition process
The delegation to the conference which attracted participation from several countries and donor organizations that support Somalia was led by Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Interior, Federal and Reconciliation, Abdihakin Hassan Ashkir.
In his remarks, Minister Abdihakin Hassan Ashkir expressed gratitude to the participating countries and organizations for their unwavering support of Somali government institutions and their dedication to the well-being of the Somali people
Other key participants at the conference included representatives from Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, the United Kingdom, the World Bank, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the Somali Joint Fund.
After extensive discussions, these officials reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the implementation of legal identification in Somalia.
