Somalia’s Planning Minister Launches National Transformation Plan Consultation in Dhusamareb
GOOBJOOG NEWS | DHUSAMAREB: Federal government of Somalia’s Planning, Investment, and Economic Development minister Mohamud C. Sheikh Farah Wednesday opened a consultation meeting for the National Transformation Plan (QIQ: 2025-2029) in Dhusamareb, Galmudug State.
The four-day conference brings together key officials, including Ministers, General Directors, and city administrators from major Galmudug cities such as Dhusamareb, Adado, Aabud-Waq, and Galkayo.
Participants will hold discussions around four critical pillars including; Good Governance, Economic Development, Social and Human Rights, and Environment and Climate Change.
The primary objective of the consultation is to evaluate the opportunities and challenges facing Galmudug and to formulate strategic solutions and plans for the next five years.
Speaking during the opening ceremony, Galmudug’s Minister of Planning Mohamed Ali Cantoobo emphasized the necessity of a clear and prioritized plan to achieve sustainable development.
The outcomes of this meeting are expected to provide a comprehensive roadmap for Galmudug’s development over the next five years.
This consultation marks the beginning of a series of similar meetings to be held across other regional governments as Somalia gears up for the implementation of the National Transformation Plan.
