Somalia’s PM Barre Departs for Iraq on Official Visit

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Federal Republic of Somalia’s Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre Thursday led a delegation of government officials on an official visit to Iraq.

The visit comes following an invite from his Iraqi counterpart Mohamed Shiaac Al-Sudaani where he is scheduled to hold high level meetings with various Iraqi leaders aimed at boosting the existing bilateral ties between the two states.

The delegation will also seek to further enhance cooperation in various sectors including trade, security and other fields for the mutual benefit of citizens of the two nations.
