Somaliland Electoral Commission announces list of elders set to select delegates

Goobjoog News/Somaliland: The Somaliland Electoral Implementation Committee (SIET) has announced the traditional elders and members of civic society organizations set to select the delegates for the 6 seats in the 11th House of the People.

A statement from the Somaliland Electoral Commission lists the names of the 15 traditional elders and civil society members who will select the delegates.

In a rush to beat the 40-day deadline set by the National Consultative Council (NCC), SIET has said it is set to announce the schedule for the following seats:  HOP245, HOP247, HOP267, HOP268, HOP269 and HOP215.
