Somaliland forces take over parliament building

 

 

 

 

 

 

Reports from Hargeisa, the administrative capital of the breakaway state of Somaliland states that Somaliland forces have taken over the parliament building earlier today ahead of no confidence motion tabled against Somaliland speaker Abdirahman Irro.

The speaker described the takeover of the parliament building as coup and accused Somaliland ruling party Kumiye of behind the move.

Somaliland Speaker Abdirahman Irro who is also leader of an oppositioon Party, Wadani is being accused of having conflict of interest with the MPs from the ruling party Kulmiye.

On other hand reliable reports state the secretary general of Somaliland lower house parliament Abdirazak Said Ayanle by the security forces.
