Somaliland political parties jointly agree on sharing representatives seats in the Lower House
Three political parties of the breakaway Somaliland have agreed to share the representatives of the lower House of the parliament.
In a two-day meeting to sorting out differences in the power-sharing, the leaders of the parties have agreed upon a common grounds.
The power-sharing of the lower House of the representatives would be based on that of 2015, according to the agreement.
They also sharing of the seats in the lower House and the election should be based on the national census.
Two major opposition parties (Wadani and UCID) have several times accused the government of violating a recent deal of holding the election by trying to postpone timely elections.
Somaliland, a breakaway region in northern Somalia has declared a unilateral independence from the rest of Somalia in 1991, however, no country has so far recognised it as an independent state.
